All Codaf partners carried out inspections of five businesses: hairdressing salons, grocery store, snack bar and restaurant. The restaurant La Crème du Sud also had significant shortcomings in terms of hygiene: cold equipment out of service and dirty, full trash cans without lids, abandoned pans containing food. frozen expired meats and undated fish. An administrative closure has been declared.

In two of the businesses checked, the border police arrested three illegal foreign employees. They were placed in administrative detention. Legal proceedings for illegal work will be initiated against employers.

Violence and rebellion

In addition, an individual was arrested while he was disrupting the operation and trying to force his way through with his bicycle. The man became aggressive when the police tried to check his identity. Without an official document and refusing to give his name, he was arrested with difficulty. Acts of violence against a person holding public authority, rebellion and non-compliance with an obligation to leave the territory were noted. The suspect, a 27-year-old Afghan, was taken into police custody.
