Electromagnetic waves are omnipresent in our environment. Essential to the proper functioning of everyday electronic devices, they are subject to well-defined regulations in France. Find out the level of waves to which you are exposed near you

As an individual, you can ask to know the level of exposure to electromagnetic waves around your home. The measurement is carried out by the national frequency agency (ANFR) and aims to "identify, in a given location, the level of exposure to radio waves."

Who can apply ?

Any individual wishing to have the rate of exposure to magnetic waves to which they are exposed measured can request one.

The process is free and can concern both residential premises and places accessible to the public. Such as parks, businesses, establishments open to the public…).

What procedure to follow ?

It is necessary to complete a form available on the measurements.anfr.fr website or to download directly from the public service website.

This document must be signed by an organization authorized by decree n°  2013-1162 of December 14, 2013. Local authorities (municipalities, groups of municipalities…), regional health agencies, certain associations approved by the Ministry of the Environment or the Ministry of Health are authorized bodies.

The request must then be sent to the ANFR, which will send an accredited and independent laboratory to carry out the measurement.

How to be informed of the results ?

The requester of the measurement will receive the results of the measurement carried out. In addition, the measurements carried out are made public on the site www.cartoradio.fr.

This site also allows you to know the rate of exposure to electromagnetic waves around your home, without asking for a measurement yourself.

Created by ANFR, the Cartoradio site lists all the checks already carried out in the territory. Simply enter your postal address in the dedicated space to consult the closest results, which are indicated by a red pictogram.

You will also be able to find detailed measurement data, as well as the location of the most powerful radio stations (mobile telephone relay antennas, TV, radio…).
