Arrested, portable grinder in hand, in flagrante delicto of stealing a bicycle, three illegal foreigners were referred

The trio is suspected of being behind around thirty bicycle thefts in downtown Montpellier.

During the night from Saturday 13 to Sunday April 14, around 2:30 a.m., a resident of rue de Verdun surprised three individuals on a train to cut a bicycle lock using a portable grinder.

He immediately alerted the police officers from the anti-crime brigade who arrested them and placed them in police custody.

Suspected of being at the origin of around thirty similar incidents in the sector, these two Moroccans aged 16 and 18 and this Algerian aged 19, all in situation irregular, were referred to the prosecution.
