“At 3:30 p.m., it was all over”: €20,000 in vouchers sold in record time in Millau

“A huge success” but also a lot of dissatisfied people. Launched by the traders of the association Millau, J’Y Gagne, the operation which aimed to offer Millau residents up to 40 euros in vouchers ended on Friday with an unprecedented success. “In less than 6 hours, all the vouchers were sold, the members of the association are pleased. For the 20th anniversary of the Millau viaduct, the envelope was larger this year, people were waiting for us!”

Some are still waiting… with no more hope of getting one of these vouchers. "The operation went well, but faced with such a large crowd, we unfortunately also had to deal with a lot of dissatisfied people", regret the traders.

"We apologize"

Online from 9am to get your hands on the precious sesame, many have, in indeed, failed to access the website. Others found themselves faced with a litany of error messages… In short, so many inconveniences linked to the saturation of the site which, in the memory of the organizers, had never known such a flow.

Pressed since then to respond to the complaints of dissatisfied customers, Millau, J’Y Gagne made amends. “We apologize to those who were not satisfied”. As for the others, the luckiest ones, they will have until mid-December to use the vouchers at one of the association's 77 merchants. For this operation, 1,000 vouchers worth 20 euros were put into play for more than 25,000 loyalty card holders Millau, J’Y Gagne.
