At the Mobil de Frontignan wasteland, the hangars have been razed and the future parking lot demarcated

Les anciens hangars ont été rasés sur le site de la friche Mobil de Frontignan et le futur parking du pôle culturel est désormais délimité.

They did not survive to 2023. The old hangars located on the Mobil wasteland in Frontignan, right next to the old administrative building of the oil company, were razed in three weeks during the month of December. If the demolition of these spaces which at one time hosted the floats of the festival committee then a nice skateboard and street-art spot only took three weeks, these are all the preventive measures around the presence asbestos – there was in fact very little – which extended the treatment time of these buildings.

The mobile tent will be placed there in May

The mobile tent, under which excavations are carried out to remove the soil laden with hydrocarbons, should be placed there during the month of May. Until then, it will move twice more towards the SNCF line before, therefore, going back towards the North of the old industrial site.

The future parking lot available to the town hall

An industrial site whose part closest to the future cultural center, located on the other side of the Rhône canal in Sète, is now completed. This area has just been delivered to the town hall of Frontignan for the development of the future car park with 150 spaces – free – intended for users of the pole, the opening of which is planned for the first half of 2025. In the meantime, at the end of this month, construction of the future footbridge between this car park and the other side of the canal will begin.
