As Easter is fast approaching (this Sunday March 31, Editor's note), the Yves Thuriès chocolate boutique in Nîmes hopes to cause a sensation with its exquisite creations on the theme of the Olympic Games.& nbsp;Nestled in rue Régale, the business run by Michel Esclasse offers a gourmet experience, where chocolate is transformed into real works of art.

From sports to chocolate

Arranged inside the various shelves and windows of the store, the chocolate creations on the theme of the Olympic Games feature kangaroos, dogs and other animal symbols linked to the next Parisian Olympics (from July 26 to August 11, 2024, Editor’s note). Castings of all sizes, filled with eggs, bells and chickens, sit alongside the traditional small eggs and lollipops, offering a varied choice for chocolate lovers of all ages. Prices vary from 8.30 € "for the small chocolate bears", up to the larger ones coins "around 60 €."

As cocoa producers in Ecuador, the company harvests the beans itself on its plantation in San Fernando. And despite a slight price increase due to their status as producers, sales are booming as Easter approaches. "We don’ not noticed a significant drop in our sales", explains Michel Esclasse while collecting a new order. Some days are more intense than others, it's in waves", he continues.

During this festive period, the boutique is unveiling a new exclusive creation: a piece bearing the image of Maison Carrée, emblem of the city of Nîmes. "It’is an exclusive available since today", smiles the manager of the Nîmes chocolate factory. This unique piece, priced between 30 € and 35 €, embodies the commitment of the Nîmes brand to celebrating local culture through its chocolate delights.
