Aveyron MP Jean-François Rousset appointed to the board of directors of the regional health agency (ARS)

For the Aveyron parliamentarian, this appointment is a means of imposing a political view on regional health issues.

Renaissance MP Jean-François Rousset, deputy for the 3rd constituency of Aveyron, has been appointed member of the board of directors of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Occitanie. A retired surgeon, the MP made improving the conditions of access to health in Aveyron "a priority of his mandate".

Member of the Social Affairs Committee, he intervened in several issues such as the implementation of professional health communities (CPTS), in order to put the patient at the heart of the healthcare system, and the recognition of the skills of pharmacists and nurses. He also chairs a working group on caregiver training involving nearly 20 deputies.

L'Aveyron "has all the assets to attract health professionals"

Its objective is "to train more by relying on the training capacities available outside large cities. Convinced that rural Aveyron "has all the assets to attract health professionals", the MP also initiated a health option for first and final year students at the Jean-Vigo high school, of which there are only "two examples in France".

For Jean-François Rousset, his appointment to the board of directors of the ARS is first and foremost "a means of improvement ;impose a political perspective on regional health issues, in particular to make the link between the reality of the territory, the National Assembly and the ministries. The regularization of doctors wishing to settle with us must, for example, be facilitated", he confirms.
