Beaucaire Fair: Disappointment in the Arenas at the End of a Novillada Tinted with Boredom

Not much to remember, neither among the novilleros nor among the novillos, for this meeting which was held in the evening this Saturday July 27 in Beaucaire.

The disappointment came from the novilleros and the novillos. The six Spanish blacks, three from Albaserrada and Isaías y Tulio Vásquez, came out very well presented, except for the 3 and his brush horns.

In front, only Joao d’Alva distinguished himself. The Portuguese fought hard, brilliantly banderilling and going to puerta gayola to his two opponents (2 and 5). The novillero seduced the public. In his first, a very good novillo from Vásquez, his failure with the épée probably deprived him of an ear. Joao d’Alva toasted his second to Fabrice Torrito, the mayoral of Albaserrada living his last season at the head of the mythical Andalusian breeding. Joao was just as determined but could not shine with the muleta against a lackluster novillo.

Juan Angel García Corbacho completely missed the mark. He did not plant a sword. In the first, he collected two opinions, after seven pinchazos. The novillero heard the three opinions in his second (4), synonymous with a return to the toril for a Vásquez who deserved much better.

Prizes not awarded

The third man, Kevin Alcolado, was transparent. He could not do much against the 3, an Albaserrada that died after the pikes, and killed the last one very quickly, sealing 3 hours of a boring novillada.

The prizes for the best picador and ganadero are not awarded. José Otero, author of two very beautiful pairs of banderillas, wins that of the best cuadrillero.
