Bike theft: so you don't get fooled twice

Bike theft: so you don't get fooled twice

Bike theft is going to become an Olympic sport! It’s frustrating and problematic. If possible, increase the number of anti-theft devices, it’s probably the most effective. There are several options for this. There are the "big"  anti-theft devices and they are popular.

The U is strong but it limits your attachment possibilities. The articulated compass is expensive, but its storage system prevents damage to your frame. When a good chain is suitable for all media. Provide a basket or a small metal bin attached to the luggage rack to store it when you are riding.

A grinder will be right
of any anti-theft device

Above all, avoid storing your lock on the front of your bike! You will damage your sheaths and cables; And you risk it all tipping into the front wheel, with a nice sun in perspective!

Provide at least one section of steel that will not allow the padlock to be cut with simple pliers or bolt cutters (8 mm minimum). But be aware that a grinder will get the better of any lock in less than twenty seconds, whether it is branded or not.

A lock that works well is the "horseshoe" which blocks the rear wheel, because it is more difficult to cut or attack without risk of damaging the frame. Also, you put it on in two seconds to get your bread, it’s very practical!

Combined with a chain that clips onto it, and another that takes the front wheel, your bike will be securely attached. It is very likely that the bike next to you will be more attractive because it is quicker to ride.

Anyway, bike protection has a cost… You will adapt the price of your locks to the price of your mount and that is quite logical. But a good bike is a bike that is still there when you come to pick it up! So if you were thinking of the simple twist zigouigoui… Put at least two or three!

We're locking the anti-theft section next week with an update of the most elaborate systems!
