Booba will file a complaint against Magali Berdah: the rapper accuses her of defamation and non-respect of the presumption of innocence

Ce lundi 25 mars 2024, le rappeur Booba annonce déposer plainte contre Magali Berdah pour diffamation et non-respect de la présomption d’innocence.

This is a new twist in this issue between Booba and Magali Berdah. The rapper announced in a press release this Monday to file a complaint through his lawyers against the former queen of influence for two very specific reasons: "defamation and violation of the presumption of innocence".

Procedures already in progress

The press release was posted online on the X account (formerly Twitter) of the "Duc de Boulogne". "Since Tuesday March 19, and the conviction of 28 people for cyberharassment, Magali Berdah has multiplied media interventions and taken advantage of this news to accuse the artist of cyberharassment and of death threats", it is noted in this one.

"Booba's lawyers point out that the procedure initiated by Magali Berdah is still ongoing and that Booba must be, like any citizen, presumed innocent until’ at the end of the procedure", we can read in the press release. It is also noted that the rapper has already launched proceedings for similar facts against the boss of the influencer agency, these are still in progress.

28 people sentenced

On March 19, justice delivered its verdict in the trial of people accused of cyberharassment against Magali Berdah. Sentences of up to prison were handed down against 28 people, reports BFMTV. The weakest are subject to suspended prison terms (4 months). As for prison sentences, they will be carried out under an electronic bracelet. Half of those tried received prison sentences, the other half received suspended sentences.

All the defendants were found guilty for all of the charges: cyberstalking, death threats, threats of crime, threats due to supposed membership of a religion . Magali Berdah will receive 54 000 euros in damages.

The Popess of influence had reacted to the convictions. "I am very relieved. I find that this is a very strong message that justice has sent to victims of cyberstalking and also to cyberstalkers. It's worth fighting for and we must not give up", she declared.
