Bullfights prohibited

#PEROLS The municipality is no longer authorized to organize bullfights. The administrative court of Montpellier finally annulled the municipal decision which authorized the organization of a bullfight on its territory. It had been contacted by several associations including the Anti-Corrida Alliance which welcomed "a historic event".
In its decision, the court admits that the city "is strongly marked by the bullfighting culture" but judges that the latest bullfighting events which were organized there "n’have never concerned novillada or bullfight type races with or without killing." While waiting for the court decision, the town had not planned any bullfights this summer.
