The scene was filmed by a resident. We see two men dressed in black – the faces are hidden by hoods – who fire shots. One is armed with a pump-action shotgun, the other with a semi-automatic pistol.

Two of the Bac police officers chase him while their colleagues approach the butcher's shop on Place Daudet. « We stayed behind and waited for our colleagues to return to enter the butchery », declares the head of the Bac. Around fifteen people, including frightened customers, are in the butcher's shop. The police discovered a Kalashnikov abandoned in the cold room. The police officers from the Montpellier Judicial Police will arrive 45 minutes later. According to one of the PJ investigators, who came to testify at the Gard Assize Court, Nasser El Khider's DNA was found on the Kalashnikov and on a black jacket abandoned in the butchery.

The four other accused, although they admit to having more or less participated in drug trafficking, also deny their participation in these shootings.
This December 13, alerted by the shooting, Nasser El Khider claims that he came across a lookout and some guys « weird&nbsp ;», when he took to the street. « During his first hearing, he explained to us that he had never touched this weapon. And that he would not be the man who entered the butchery and came out at the back of the building, described  a PJ police officer.

A seriously injured victim

This December 13, a young person was seriously injured by gunfire, when he had just entered a building, rue Mas Nègre in Chemin-Bas-d’ Avignon. He is between life and death. « I asked him the question: do you know who shot you. He replied: it was Nasser, said a Bac police officer who rescued the injured man. His colleague who was next to him confirms. The victim survived. He will testify, by video, this Wednesday before the Gard Assize Court. Me Philippe Ramon will be at his side. This boy claims not to know the name of his attacker.
