Consumer reminder: be careful, these chocolate desserts sold throughout France should not be consumed

Chocolate and coconut milk desserts from the Charles and Alice brand are being massively recalled throughout France, following possible fermentation of the products resulting in an acidic taste. 

Be careful if you have recently purchased chocolate desserts from the Charles and Alice brand: as revealed on February 28 by the government website Consumer Reminder, products are subject to a recall "as a precautionary principle" due to possible "fermentation of the products leading to an acidic taste of the product and a rounded lid".

Two packaging

These vegetable desserts with coconut milk and chocolate, packaged in two 110 gram pots, and in one 350 gram pot, are sold throughout France in all major supermarket brands distribution.

The 110 gram batches affected by this recall were sold from February 3 to February 28, 2024 and bear the barcode 3297760084006 for a use-by date set at March 14, 2024.

The 350 gram jars were put on shelves between January 30 and February 28 for a consumption deadline of April 5. The barcode in question is  3297760084167.  

Get a refund on these products

If you have purchased one of these products, it is recommended that you no longer consume it and destroy it or return it to the point of sale for a refund until April 8.& ;nbsp;
