Container full of organs: mystery remains after macabre discovery of “human or animal” remains in park

A container full of organs was found this Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in a park located south of the city of London in the United Kingdom.

It was a passerby who made the sordid discovery on the afternoon of this Wednesday, July 24 in south London. A container full of organs was found in Rosehill Park, Sutton, near St Helier Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital, reports The Independent.

“Human or animal organs”

A police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 4.30pm on Wednesday 24 July by a member of the public who reported finding a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton, with what was described as human or animal organs inside.”

Officers have been unable to determine whether the body parts found are human or animal and have said tests are being carried out to determine their origin.

Examined by a doctor coroner

“The container has been secured by police” and its contents will be examined by a forensic pathologist, according to police sources who said this could take some time.

The park has been cordoned off by officers who are conducting several investigations in the area.

The discovery comes a week after two suitcases were found on the banks of the River Wear (England) near Bristol Bridge. They contained human remains, including those of a Frenchman.
