Aged 32, the Castres Olympic player, in the Top 14, was placed in police custody this Tuesday after the filing of a complaint by his partner for acts committed the day before, said the vice-prosecutor. of the Republic of permanence.

Hounkpatin was then presented to the prosecution, who referred him to the Castres Criminal Court on April 3. His judicial supervision prohibits him in particular from entering into contact with his partner as well as from going to her home.

"Olympic Castres has become aware of the legal proceedings carried out against Wilfrid Hounkpatin. The latter is being prosecuted for acts of domestic violence, his club reacted in a press release sent to AFP.

"Such actions would be in total contradiction with the values ​​advocated by our club. “In the immediate future, Castres Olympique has decided to initiate a disciplinary procedure accompanied by a dismissal with a ban on appearing at its workplace,” added the latter. .
