In Dions, north of Nîmes, a man and two children, swept away by the rising waters of the Gardon, Sunday March 9, around 3:30 a.m., are wanted. The fourth passenger was rescued by firefighters

This Sunday, March 9, around 3:30 a.m., a man and two children were swept away by the flooded Gardon near the Dions submersible bridge, north of Nîmes.

The fourth passenger managed to be saved by the Gard firefighters. The latter installed their PC this Sunday morning in Russan, commune of Saint-Anastasie, because the Dions site is difficult to access after the torrential rains yesterday. The search for the three missing people will be important.

On the "roof" of vehicle

The four occupants,  surprised by the raging waters of the Gardon last night at the Dions submersible bridge, alerted the firefighters, got out of the vehicle to take refuge  on the "roof" of the last. But the woman was swept away by the water, which allowed firefighters to save her.
