European elections: the RN remains well in the lead and the left is making a strong comeback in the Pyrénées-Orientales

Election results

The RN consolidates its leadership position in the Pyrénées-Orientales. At 9:15 p.m., with 206 municipalities out of 226, Jordan Bardella's list is at almost 42%, more than 10 points more than in 2019. The department fell to the hands of the extreme right during the last legislative elections therefore confirms this position.

Surprise of the evening, Raphaël Glucksmann's left ranks second with a score equivalent to the national average (12.40%). The field campaign of Frédéric Monteils, the local of the stage, candidate on the list will certainly have allowed the socialist party to find some voters hitherto lost.

Rebirth in pain

As for Renaissance, the iste ranks third with barely more than 10% of the votes, almost seven points less than in 2019 when the presidential party held up rather well . This time, without a real relay in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Renaissance is in free fall.
