After the tragic accident that occurred this Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Ariège at a farmers' dam, where a mother and her daughter were fatally struck, what do we know about the state of father's health ?

While the mobilization of farmers does not weaken, a mother and her 12-year-old daughter were killed at a dam in Pamiers in Ariège this Tuesday, January 23. This fatal accident, involving a car, also left another victim, the father, aged around forty, also injured and transferred to intensive care that same day. In the aftermath of the tragedy, the news seems more reassuring, explains Le Parisien.

Out of danger

"His vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy", indicated Olivier Mouysset, prosecutor de Foix, in a press release. However, "he remains seriously injured. As soon as his state of health permits, he will be examined by a forensic doctor with a view to determining incapacity for work& ;quot;, he continued, quoted by our colleagues from BFMTV.

If his vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy, the accident was violent. The victim lost his 34-year-old wife, who died instantly, as well as his 12-year-old daughter, who died a few hours later, on Tuesday evening.

Farmer since adolescence

This thirty-year-old practiced her profession in the small town of Saint-Félix-de-Tournegat, populated by 150 inhabitants and located about fifteen kilometers to the ;#39;east of Pamiers. She had discovered the agricultural world during her third year internship in the Hautes-Alpes.

She continued her studies at the agricultural high school of Pamiers: "My grandparents had a secondary house in Ariège . I decided to enroll at the agricultural high school of Pamiers and pursue my path in agriculture", explained the mother to our colleagues from Terres Ariège.

Despite this tragedy, the anger of farmers spreads and reaches the Occitanie region. Convoys of demonstrators will set off from several points in the Hérault department this Friday morning very early and will converge on Montpellier.
