Five teenage girls from Saint-Affrique receive babysitting training from the City

Les jeunes saint-affricaines ont suivi une formation impulsée par la Ville de Saint-Affrique.

Their names are Émilie, Lana, Isya, Romane, Léonie, aged 16 to 17, they participated from April 16 to 18 in an introduction to babysitting. Organized by the municipality's Youth Info service, these three days took place in several locations, the Les Pitchous nursery, the media library, the central kitchen and the Le Ludo leisure center. Sindy Valat, facilitator at the Youth Info service explains: "We wanted this fun initiation, without exam issues. They learned how to change a baby (a baby doll), prepare a bottle, make a compote and for the last day in immersion with 3-12 year olds to invent games by age group." Myrtille Mallet-Alric, childcare assistant at the nursery, showed them the basic actions with 2 months to 3 years olds and answered their many questions.

Reassure parents

Generally positive opinion for the five teenage girls. For Ysia: "It is above all a matter of reassuring parents, that they see that I have something extra on my CV. I find this initiation complete." Léonie and Lana feel more confident and Émilie has learned a lot. Romane, who looks after children on May 10 and 11, feels calmer thanks to the experience of this initiation. So don’t hesitate to entrust your children to them, they are professionals!
