L'entreprise Galtier a reversé une somme, rendue par l'Ursaaf récemment pour les associations sportives de Saint-Affrique.

It’was a mystery invitation! The city's sports committee invited the presidents of the 31 associations that make it up to a press conference which took place Thursday in the hall of honor of the town hall. No item appeared on the agenda. It was mentioned that the invitation followed the request of Patrick Galtier, general director of the eponymous transport, and his two sons Bastien and David, deputy directors.

The company includes three sectors of activity: Galgel for logistics management, Galdis for the transport of fresh and frozen products, and Galtier for large and semi-large refrigerated transport in France and Europe. The group realizes 27 M€ of turnover and has 160 employees. It was Patrick Galtier, also president of the Saint-Affricain Rugby Club (RCSA), who spoke in the presence of around twenty-five association representatives:

"The story begins in 2008 and 2009. On employer contributions, the Fillon law makes it possible to reduce, for the employer, their amount on low salaries. This must be validated by the works council and by a trade union organization. The validation by the unions had not been ratified by the union branch represented here, namely Force Ouvrière. My unionized employees had signed, but they had not forwarded the information to the Department and the Region. Urssaf said that we were not entitled to reductions because the unions did not validate. And that’s the whole debate. This concerned the years 2008 and 2009. Hence a dispute."

A decision of the court of cassation

Ultimately, at the beginning of December, the Court of Cassation validated the decision of the Court of Appeal stipulating that the Galtier company was not at fault. Furthermore, the latter had paid the disputed sum of 95,000 € at Urssaf. Due to the decision of the Court of Cassation, Urssaf reimbursed it to the Galtier company. "This is a sum that comes into our company, continued Patrick Galtier. I talked about it with my two sons. I spent 15 years on the sports committee and I wanted to make a donation to him so that he could put it to good use. Knowing, and I want to, that I do not want the RCSA, of which I am president, to have any return of this sum. Samuel Bocher, the president, and his team will do what they want. This sum is 95,000 €."

"A sincere gratitude"

Samuel Bocher then spoke: "I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Patrick Galtier and his entire company. In a context where individualism predominates, the solidarity shown stands out as an eloquent example of support for our sporting community. His donation is not limited to a simple financial contribution, but it embodies a commitment to the vitality of our sports clubs and promotes the cohesion of the Saint-Affricain sports movement." Samuel Bocher specifies that the terms of distribution of this donation have not yet been definitively decided: "The committee office is committed to working in a transparent and collaborative manner ensuring equitable distribution." The final decision relating to the distribution of the sum will be submitted to the vote of the members of the committee.
