Cette aide destinée aux foyers modestes avait été annoncée par Emmanuel Macron pour faire face à l'inflation.

Faced with soaring food prices, President Macron proposed aid to enable the poorest French households to be able to eat in a more quantitative and qualitative manner.

The food check system will be implemented in the first quarter of 2024. Everything you need to know.

Conditions

This aid is intended for the most modest households. You must meet certain criteria.

The students receiving a scholarship, the foyers in great precariousness, beneficiaries of the RSA, the AAH of Aspa or the APL will be able to claim the food check.

Amount and duration

The amount of this food check is currently set at 50 euros per person per month. And the duration of this payment is established over six months. Beneficiaries will also be able to receive an additional 25 euros to be able to purchase "healthy and sustainable products" in dedicated stores.

Usage

The food voucher can only be used for food purchases as its name indicates.

Experimentation

For the moment, it is only being tested in only four cities in France. The government has accepted its experiment in Seine-Saint-Denis and will only concern Montreuil, Clichy-sous-Bois, Villetaneuse and Sevran.

Which is currently equivalent to only 1,350 people who will be able to benefit from this check ;#39;after a list established by the Department and the association Action Against Hunger, as explained by the Internet user. The beneficiaries have therefore already been chosen and warned.

Generalization

This food check is currently being tested. Nothing says that it will be generalized. The government believes that this aid should be intended to purchase healthy and French products. If this system were generalized, some 9 million people could benefit from it.
