Gourmet creations have found their place in the halls

Mégan Pastor pâtisse devant les yeux de ses clients, proposant des recettes classiques et des créations.

Mégan Pastor vend ses pâtisseries dans les Halles dont elle est “la douceur finale”.

The market halls of Frontignan welcome a new merchant: Gourmet creations. Mégan Pastor has her stall and has been offering sweet specialties for several weeks. This is not her first business experience, she has already worked in Les Halles de Sète, in a rotisserie and a fishmonger.

"I have always worked in contact with people, at the market halls of Sète then in home service to people. I was a full-time mother then I did a professional reconversion with my VAE (Validation of acquired experience, Editor's note), in food option sales and I trained in baking."

Tiramisu, tulips, lemon tarts, tarte tatin…

< p>With her CAP in her pocket, Mégan launched her own business, starting with the sale of personalized cakes via social networks. And after four years, she opened a stall in the city's market halls. "I bring a sweet touch! We can finish the meal in the halls by coming to my stand. I am the final sweetness,” she smiled.

Mégan stocked up a little bread from the Fournée gourmande, just to help out. And everything else is homemade. Tiramisu, tulips, lemon tarts, apple tarts, pineapple cakes, tarte tatin… "I create with seasonal fruits. On Saturdays, I offer pavlovas. I do this based on the customers that I have started to build loyalty."

The pastry chef balances her offerings between classic recipes and creations to satisfy all tastes. "The Frontignan clientele has traditional tastes but which can be changed. You have to go slowly to make yourself known and introduce new flavors to regulars."

In her small space, Mégan bakes directly in front of customers, generously spreading the almond cream in the frangipane "but no ? I'm not looking for the perfect side, I prefer the quality of taste, the artisanal touch and that people come back." The pastry chef continues her production of cakes to order where she lets her creativity speak. "With my retraining, I combined my passion with my job and it is my greatest reward!"
