Health professionals and stakeholders in Lodévois and Larzac gathered at the Bousquet space

While there is still a lack of general practitioners and nurses, the meeting of health professionals and stakeholders organized by the city and the community of municipalities this Wednesday, January 10 in Lodève made it possible to see that the ;rsquo;care offering was still important in Lodévois and Larzac. This is evidenced by a first guide which has just been published in which more than 150 contacts are already listed.

"We have published a document at the level of the community of communes to inform residents of all the professionals and structures to which they can have access, summary Gaëlle Lévêque, the mayor of Lodève. Our communities do not have health skills but fears of becoming a medical desert have forced us to invest in different forms."

With, for example, the creation of a guide which will be republished in a more complete version in a few months.

"The creation of the Multiprofessional Health Center was a very good idea that Marie-Christine Bousquet had to facilitate the installation of professionals" adds the mayor. Like the adhesion of the intercommunity to the Public Interest Group My Health My Region, to which Jean-Luc Requi returned in particular.

"A health center with two salaried doctors to have in the MSP of Lodève, we are waiting for a 3rd, specifies the president. This time allows us to meet, to discuss the attractiveness of the territory, the needs of each person so that they can be ambassadors to their colleagues."

The CAPS transformed into an emergency medical antenna

The meeting this Wednesday evening allowed the director of the Lodève Hospital Center to take stock of the issue of the Reception and Permanent Care Center (CAPS). It will be transformed into an emergency medical antenna, requested for years and recorded in the Regional Health Plan of ARS Occitanie.

"It’is recognition and legitimacy. The structure has found its legal form, indicates Patrick Triaire. The decrees were issued on December 29 and the hospital will submit a file to the Regional Health Agency. The antenna will work in synergy with the Montpellier University Hospital to which it will be attached.

The opportunity to remind you that the hospital is recruiting doctors and nurses.

"Otherwise, as has been the case on certain days, even recently, the service is forced to close" adds the Director, indicating that CAPS operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week . "It relies on the medical imaging center and its scanner and has seen nearly 10,000 visits in 2023. 88% of patients then return home."< /p>

As with the CAPS, the Emergency Medical Antenna will operate with salaried doctors. Its working hours, 12 hours minimum in the decrees, will depend on the resources allocated.
 

And to mention the La Vallonie breath clinic, the Maison Sport Santé du Lodévois and Larzac called to extend to the Heart of Hérault where medical aid emergency to which the firefighters contribute… In an evening during which the transformation of the CAPS of the Hospital into an emergency medical antenna was explained.
