“Here, you have to get adopted, it’s like being in a family”

Hervé et Corinne ont pour objectif de développer de nouveaux rayons.

Hervé, qui a vendu son commerce à Portiragnes, a repris le tabac-presse de la rue du Faubourg-Boutonnet, avec sa compagne Corinne.

“I visited several businesses in Montpellier, and Boutonnet was my favorite.” Since the end of August, Hervé has owned the newsagent's located at 68 rue du Faubourg Boutonnet. He sold his in Portiragnes to be closer to his partner Corinne.

She continues enthusiastically: “I found the welcome from the people in the neighborhood charming. When you get there, you feel like you're entering a house.“ Hervé adds: “Customers and shopkeepers welcomed us. Many introduced themselves. Here, you have to be adopted, it's like being in a family.”

No anonymity in this suburb at the gates of the Écusson where everyone knows each other: “a village in the city.“ A conviviality much appreciated by our new tobacconists.

Very attentive to their customers, they plan to develop new departments. “The store's size allows us to do so”, Hervé rejoices.

Corinne explains: “We both like to read. We want to open a bookstore section and share our favorites with our customers. And maybe open a small gift section with quality stationery and beautiful leather goods."

For those who wish, two tables on the doorstep allow you to sit down, catch up on news, chat with passers-by, like in the village, while enjoying a hot drink in this suburb without a café open in the morning.
