Deux jeunes impliqués dans le vol d’un sac à main, à Béziers, ont été condamnés à des peines de prison. Ils sont âgés de 22 et 23 ans.

The person who took the bag was arrested the same evening by municipal police officers, without the stolen item. The second, for his part, was arrested a little later by the police.

Already 10 convictions

The main defendant, (the thief of the bag), 22 years old and 10 convictions, was sentenced to 4 months in prison and the revocation of a probationary suspension of 6 months. In pre-trial detention, he was kept in prison.

His accomplice, 23 years old and 7 convictions, was sentenced to 4 months of detention and the revocation of a simple suspended sentence. He will have to consult with the sentencing judge to carry out his sentence. He remained at large. Nothing has made it possible to establish with certainty what he had asked the thief.

The main defendant suffers from alcoholic fetal syndrome. When he drinks, he no longer knows what he is doing. He had no memory of the evening. "But what I see on the video makes me think that I was asked to do something. I did it and I didn’t keep the bag. I regret what I was made to do." Facing him, the second defendant denies any involvement and only discussed the bag theft with the victim.

They are accomplices

For the representative of the public prosecutor, there is no doubt. There is the thief that we see on the video and the accomplice who asks him to commit the crime. We don't know what exactly was said, but it's easy to imagine.
