“I have the impression that we have become a reality TV show”: Florent Manaudou’s reaction to the political situation

Présent à Chartres pour les Championnats de France qui débutent dimanche, le champion olympique n’a pas caché sa déception.

On the sidelines of the French Championships which begin Sunday morning in Chartres, Florent Manaudou also spoke about the current situation in the country. If the dissolution in the National Assembly does not "disturb in (its) sport", the Olympic champion in the 50 m freestyle, in 2012 in London, does not hide his disappointment.

"I have the impression that we have become a reality show at the political level, admits the one who hopes to be standard bearer for the Blues next summer in Paris. Already it was a bit complicated to trust politicians after all these years…hellip; On both the right and the left, everyone is fighting to get a job. I find it a shame not to fight for ideas but to have a seat."

Like all the swimmers present in Chartres, Florent Manaudou will have to finish in the first two of his races by achieving the Olympic minimums to participate in the 2024 Olympics.
