The teenager who stabbed himself in class at his high school in Toulouse has been released from hospital. In La Dépêche, he recounts the harassment he suffered with his girlfriend.

This is a moving testimony collected by our colleagues at La Dépêche. That of Jean (whose first name has been changed) and who stabbed himself a few days ago in the middle of a classroom at his Stéphane-Hessel high school in Toulouse. 

"I wanted to die to punish those who hurt me. I wanted my situation to serve as an example. No one should go through an ordeal like mine,” said the high school student, now released from the hospital. 

Jean believes he was the victim of harassment – even though the conclusions of the investigation did not characterize him – and claims to be the victim of harassment . 

Harassed with his girlfriend

He showed our colleagues at La Dépêche screenshots to corroborate his remarks and explained that the harassment and denigration would have started when he got into a relationship with Nathalie (first name changed ). 

"When I got into a relationship with Nathalie, our friends started to defame us. At first, it was small rumors, then insults. Nathalie quickly had anxiety attacks, before developing a real school phobia. 

His comrades accused him of kidnapping and raping his girlfriend

He says that the young girl ran away from his house and that he received messages on Instagram from a stalker telling him that he was kidnapping and raping his little one friend. "It's mind-blowing. We ended up filing a complaint at the police station,” he said. but this is closed without further action. 

The young man then decides to speak in front of his class to talk about what he is experiencing with his girlfriend and his discomfort. But he says he was not heard and says that he was asked " to no longer disrupt the class even though I had the approval of my teacher. I felt very isolated.

He ended up receiving a final message on Instagram telling him clearly that if he committed suicide, everyone would have the baccalaureate. 

It was the teacher who saved my life

He then decides to take action and end his life in the toilet. In class, while he is writing a farewell letter, his neighbor sees him and understands. He says he panicked and sticks the knife in his stomach in front of everyone. 

"It's the teacher who saved my life", he says today.& ;nbsp; 

"I didn't want to scare you. I had not planned to act in these circumstances. I now want to take control of my life,” he concluded almost apologetically. 

The police were seized of a new investigation and the four people targeted by the complaints were interviewed on Friday.
