“If you have a little humanity, say what happened”: the accused Lymani in the denial of the murder of Aurélie Vaquier

Samire Lymani jugé pour meurtre sur conjoint encourt la perpétuité aux assises de l'Hérault. – Croquis Aline Champsaur

Samire Lymani, 41, is on trial until Tuesday, January 16 by the Hérault Assize Court for the murder of Aurélie Vaquier, his ex-partner. The victim's body was found under a platform, in a concrete slab, at the couple's home in Bédarieux, on April 7, 2021. The accused denies it against all odds.

"You wish it was me! You guys are crazy, completely crazy!".

Eyes bulging, jacket removed, Samire Lymani loses his temper in front of the Hérault assizes, this Monday, January 15. Cornered by the litany of elements who accuse him of the murder of Aurélie Vaquier, in Bédarieux, in January 2021, he causes this scandal when the civil parties take him to another area. That of feeling.

"Aurélie’s relatives trusted you, you betrayed them and attacked Messrs Félix Allary and Jean-Charles Teissedre. They would like you to explain yourself, if it’s an argument or something else. If you have a little humanity, tell me what happened!".

The ace ! Lymani doesn't move a bit. He is alone against everyone and, provocatively, he says he is ready to "forgive" all those who question him. He maintains his far-fetched theory of the outside person coming to their home, killing Aurélie and hiding the body under a platform and a concrete slab, then leaving, closing the door with a set of keys, while he is not there. wasn't there.

"Aurélie, he killed her and buried her with us"

"Aurélie, he killed her and buried her at our house, and we've been going around in circles for three years'& nbsp; he says.

"Being tried for murder is not nothing… You risk taking a lot, this is the moment when the civil parties will never again give him the pole.

"I hope he takes a lot and a lot, a lot" persists Lymani, locked in denial. He still speaks of the victim in the present tense – "I still love him, all my life I will love him with love or friendship" –, refuses to admit that the couple was struggling and ended up evading questions when the civil parties shook them.

"We found the body at your house! At a place where you have done work! We have the impression that you don't understand!" they assert.

"Your questions are making my head hurt"

"Your questions are making my head hurt" he grimaces.

"Avoid sarcasm! We're talking about a person whose life was taken!" President Gossent retorts, annoyed.

Added to this arrogant attitude are evolving responses for this “chameleon” capable of adapting even if it means sinking into pathos by contradicting oneself.

The court, for example, returns to the work carried out by Lymani under this dais which became the tomb of Aurélie. Photos show that he worked there in January and then mid-February, after the death of his partner, since there was the famous concrete slab.

"When I do work, it's a firecracker and a beer in hand"

"It’wasn't like January and you’didn't see that there was a slab ?"  the president is surprised.

"No, not at all. There was lots of rubble, I wasn’t paying attention, he replies with his hand on his heart. When I do work, it's a firecracker and a beer in my hand."

The appearance of the mysterious third set of keys, which the killer inevitably had to lock when leaving, is also suddenly justified: "Aurélie did it for me because I “I lose my keys all the time,” he says for the first time.

Advocate General Damien Kincher also asks questions calling for common sense. There is the DNA of the accused on the tarpaulin which covered the body and his return to Bédarieux, on February 6, calls him out, while everyone agrees that the victim is then dead and buried.

"You didn’not see that someone took your tools and sandbags ?."

"I didn’not pay attention.. Maybe they didn’t use the ones that were at my house."

"So they came with bags" concludes the attorney general to underline a little more the absurdity of his version. Verdict this Tuesday, January 16.

“He killed him for his pleasure, it's a sadistic crime, that's the motive” estimate the civil parties

Monday evening, the civil parties, Messrs Allary and Teissedre, for the family of Aur´lie Vaquier, took place in court. their scenario of this feminicide which took place &agrav; behind closed doors.

They believe that Aur’lie could no longer bear either the work or her companion and wanted to leave to recharge her batteries as evidenced by her final message, & ;agrave; her friend Alicia.

"They did not argue, otherwise Auréé would have made defensive gestures, by sending this message, she signed" his death sentence. He took her from behind, by surprise, he squeezed, he could have stopped, he continued, it’s a femicide which is not classic" they denounce.

"It’s a sadistic crime, he kills her for his pleasure, to see her suffer, he is there for her. the cellphone ! We will never know if she regained consciousness in the tarpaulin, but he had the smell of death in his nostrils, the search had to be delayed, he wrote a message to ; himself to build an alibi, but his spelling mistakes gave him away. You are not able to say it, because the truth is there. would damage your image. From there où she is, Aurélie expects nothing from you" .
