Ce jeudi 9 mai de l'Ascension, le complexe sportif de Dassargues a été le théâtre d'une journée lors de laquelle fair-play et respect étaient les maître-mots des dix-huit équipes participantes.

It’s a meeting that plays on competition and prefers to play the card of fair play and friendship. Two commitments which represent the leitmotif of the organizers of the AZ ASPTT veteran football tournament.

This Thursday, May 9 of Ascension, tradition did not deviate from the rules – of the game – during the 31st edition carried by around fifteen volunteers, the president of the ;rsquo;AZ ASPTT Mamar Mamèche and treasurer Christian Mesas in the lead.

Eighteen teams had a friendly discussion

A welcome as warm as the degrees displayed on the thermometer for matches lasting around ten minutes played by eighteen teams from here and elsewhere, notably La Grande-Motte, Perpignan, Marseille and Gard. Closer, the ranks of certain formations included firefighters from Marsillargues but also many employees and managers of the Lunel real estate agencies Orpi, Calvet and LGM.

From the youngest aged 18 to the oldest aged 70

The 200 players played respectfully all day on the Dassargues pitch. From the youngest, 18 years old, to the oldest who proudly displayed his 70 years.

The third half was a moment of jubilation and real laughs before the famous and equally joyful trophy ceremony arrived at the end of the afternoon , each team leaves with a cup.

The results. Group A: the Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze team; group B, team K Noesbo (Perpignan); group C, the Les Copaings team (Nîmes). The three Fair Play Cups, which will be put into play during the 32nd tournament, were won by K Noesbo, Orpi and Saint-Laurent-d’Aigouze.
