In Sète, a wind of youth blows over the Barrou Tennis Club

Sacha Sempéré and Alex Pareja shone in the regional championship.

The results of the young people of TC Barrou, both in individual and team competitions, have been very good in recent weeks.

The most honorable of them was the journey of the "15/16 year old"  team made up of Sacha Sempéré (15 year old ranked 15/1) and Alex Pareja ( 14 years old only, ranked 5/6). The two Sétois reached the semi-finals of the Occitanie championship, failing against the Tennis Club Grande Motte led by a 2/6 and a 4/6.

After winning the doubles, they lost in the two singles, not without having delivered two great close encounters.

The tournament results highlighted the progress of the students of Brice Pareja and Mohamed Rakrouki, the club's teachers. Sacha Sempéré, winner in the "adult" category with a TMC limited to 15/2, then confirmed with performances at 15 and 5/6.

The club's "16/18 year olds"  group continues its good momentum with Olivier Hutton’s rise in the rankings (5/6) , Nino Simonetti (15), Teo Zamelzyck (15/1), Silouane Des Abbayes (15/1) and Émilien Patrois (15/2).

Support for regional seniors

The regional senior teams which begin their championship in March will be able to rely on this young generation to defend the colors of Barrou.

The youngest are not left out with Joseph Jover (2017) newly trained by the League, but also Mathieu and Margot Paler (2011 and 15/3 both), Edward Lacroux (2012 ranked 15 /4), Camille Martin (2014 ranked 30/1). All these young people will be keen to shine throughout the department in the various competitions and proudly represent Barrou and the city of Sète.
