“It’s important to win without the Lebrun brothers, it would be a trigger for some”: for the ANMTT, remaining in Pro A is not very far away

Maintaining Pro A, the objective announced at the start of the season, having started very well, the ANMTT still has a few points to glean to validate it. Vincent Avril's protégés will have to do without the Lebrun brothers until the end of the championship, when they go to Caen on Sunday.

Before the start of this first season in Pro A, the Nîmes-Montpellier Alliance knew that it was going to have to do without its two geniuses, Félix (6th in the world) and Alexis Lebrun (20th). Olympic year requires.

And in recent matches, this moment has arrived for Vincent Avril's men who will not be able to count on the two Montpellier brothers until the end of the championship, they who are currently at the Smash in Singapore.

"Three or four points to maintain yourself"

After a great home victory against Hennebont (3-1), a big piece of the championship, his players remain on a three defeats in a row in Pro A against Rouen (2 -3), in Cergy-Pontoise (3-1) and on the pitch of La Romagne (3-1), despite the presence of Lebrun during this last match.

"We have come part of the way, we have made progress on certain competitors. We have just played against all the opponents at the top of the table. So now we have to look for as many points as possible. We are missing three or four points to maintain our position", details Vincent Avril. 

In Caen, anything can happen for the AMTT, made up of Manav Thakkar, Grégoire Jean and Esteban Dorr, according to the coach. "We're going to have to be good, everything is possible, it's very open. I hope we will win on Sunday to be a little calmer. It's important to win without the Lebrun brothers, it would be a turning point for some."
