Jeane Manson victim of a heart attack: what we know about the singer's state of health, hospitalized in Lyon

The singer and former companion of Richard Berry suffered this Tuesday, May 7, of a "heart attack" and will remain hospitalized in Lyon, after an appeal hearing in the defamation case between her and the actor's daughter, Coline Berry-Rotjman.

After a hearing at the Lyon Court of Appeal, singer Jeane Manson was hospitalized in Lyon this Tuesday, May 7, due to a heart attack, her agent announced this Wednesday.< /p>

"His vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy. Everything was taken on time", reassured the agent with the AFP, specifying that Jeane Manson & quot;will stay hospitalized in Lyon for a few days".

Supported in "critical"

The firefighters confirmed that he was taken into care at the courthouse on Tuesday evening for "chest pain". Its condition was "critical", according to the artist’s agent.

The former American companion of Richard Berry had left the courtroom hastily in the evening, visibly very agitated, at the time when her lawyer was to take the floor for his pleading, noted a journalist from the ’ AFP.

The Lyon Court of Appeal re-examined the case opposing Jeane Manson to Coline Berry-Rojtman. The judgment was reserved on July 17.

Accused of having participated in attacks

In an article published by Le Monde in February 2021, Coline Berry-Rojtman spoke of sexual violence that  rsquo;she would have suffered a minor in 1984 and 1985 at the home of her father who then lived with Jeane Manson, accused of having participated in these attacks.

The investigation opened in Paris targeting the actor accused of incest by his daughter was closed without further action on August 31, 2022 due to statute of limitations.< /p>

Jeane Manson had decided to sue her ex-daughter-in-law for defamation before the Aurillac court, in Cantal, where she lives part of the year. In April 2022, the court sentenced Coline Berry-Rojtman to a fine of 2,000 euros for defamation and 20 euros in damages. The Riom Court of Appeal (Puy-de-Dôme) confirmed this conviction in December 2022. But in December 2023, the Court of Cassation annulled this judgment and sent the case back to the Lyon Court of Appeal.
