The training center based in the Alès basin is participating in this week in which a career fair with offers to be filled is being organized this Thursday, June 20.

For the fourth consecutive year, the BTP CFA du Gard, whose campus is based in Méjannes-lès-Alès, is participating in Building Week, an event responsible for promoting the diversity of professions in the sector and their developments.

Job-dating

On this occasion, the CFA is hosting, this Thursday, June 20, a trade forum concentrated in a "building village" deployed on campus. In the morning, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., this "village" will offer a free career fair bringing together around thirty companies in the sector for a traditional "job-dating". Open to all, including potential job seekers (coming with an up-to-date CV is recommended), around thirty companies in the sector, as well as representatives of France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi) will be present for present the positions to be filled.

According to Aurélia Bortoluzzi, head of the development department at CFA, "around a hundred offers will be presented, on permanent contracts, on fixed-term contracts and on contract contracts ;learning." Since its first participation four years ago, the CFA indicates that the meeting has been gaining, year after year, in efficiency with regard to recruitment: & quot;On average, we record 26% of contract completion at each job-dating." This represents, for the previous edition in 2023, 28 hires signed following this recruiter/job seeker meeting.

The innovation in question

This year, the BTP CFA du Gard invites, on the sidelines of the meetings, a reflection on the place of new technologies in a profession "where the sector also holds to highlight its traditions". Thus, numerous stands will demonstrate new practices in construction and will also highlight biosourced materials. The latter, for Aurélia Bortoluzzi, represent a central branch in the evolution of construction: "We also want to show that the building meets numerous environmental requirements and that this works."

Discussions will also be offered on the place that artificial intelligence, or even drones, can take in construction work.

From 10 a.m. Thursday June 20 at the BTP CFA du Gard campus, in Méjannes-lès-Alès. A "bati-brunch" provided by the caterer Brico-Saucisse, is also offered (by reservation: www.btpcfa-occitanie.com).
