“Let France remain master of its destiny”, RN MEP Thierry Mariani campaigning for Europeans

Candidat à sa réélection comme député européen sur la liste RN de Jordan Bardella, Thierry Mariani a rencontré les militants gardois ce samedi.

The European election will take place on June 9 and Thierry Mariani, outgoing MEP, who is returning to Jordan Bardella's National Rally (RN) list, is touring the federations to beat the recall troops because barely one in two French people feels concerned by this election.

And, here, in Gard, the stage is important, while the party "has 2000 members and 35 new members join us every week", assures Yoann Gillet, deputy for the first constituency who welcomed Thierry Mariani with Pascale Bordes, deputy for the third constituency, and Julien Sanchez, mayor of Beaucaire and vice-president of the RN.

And the party feels itself growing wings: "The latest polls show Bardella as the winner. The winner of this election will be Macron's alternation in 2027, predicts Yoann Gillet. In 2019, Bardella's list received 23% of the votes (23 seats).

Agriculture and migration policy

Before the public meeting with the activists, Thierry Mariani recalled his European fight, during a press conference in the party's brand new headquarters. "Many things are now being decided in Brussels and Strasbourg, agricultural policy sacrificed by free trade agreements, migration policy where labor is imported rather than block borders.

In addition to these two themes, he insisted on the end of the veto in votes. "There are seven groups in the European Parliament, we are the only one who wants to keep the vote unanimous. Otherwise, decisions will be imposed on us, it will be the end of French sovereignty. We are for a Europe of nations, he insisted.

While he believes that Europe still makes sense, he regrets its new face since the integration of twelve new countries the East in 2004 and deplores the fact that "Europe is the area with the lowest economic growth in the world".
