Ligue Féminine de Basket (19e journée). Le BLMA se déplace à Charleville-Mézières ce dimanche avec dans ses rangs son ailière Garance Rabot qui brille en 2024.

Versatile and tireless on the floor, Garance Rabot has definitely made her mark in the BLMA squad.
Since the start of the calendar year, the young winger has taken advantage of injuries and the departure of Marième Badiane to gain playing time and show her talent at the Lattes sports center.

A second part of the season marked by the meeting against Basket Landes where the number 26 of the BLMA was player of the match by beating several personal records (22 points, 13 rebounds, 6 interceptions, 37 d’ assessment). "The match was following the departure of Badiane. The team was a little affected, we were in a phase of doubt. In this match, we had an extra bit of soul, explains the player from the Bordeaux region.

The young basketball player was able to benefit from playing time this season, 22 minutes on average in the Women's League, with the complete confidence of her coach, Valéry Demory. "I had already met him in Lyon when he was training the first team and I was at the training center. When he suggested that I come to Montpellier, I came without hesitation."

A promising future

With the various twists and turns of the season, the BLMA will necessarily count on the energy on the field of the player trained at Asvel. "With departures and injuries, my role has perhaps evolved a little, more is expected of me on the offensive side. Physically and athletically, I am comfortable, which allows me to continue the races and efforts.

Still very young but with two professional seasons under her belt, Garance Rabot has the future ahead of her and perhaps the French team. "Every competitor wants to represent their country, if that happens one day it will be with pride".
For the end of the season, the BLMA will need its winger to express its ambitions to the fullest. Garance Rabot shares these with the Hérault club. "I am a competitor so I would like to win titles in the years to come. With the BLMA it would be even better", she concludes.
