The ranking of the best high schools in France was revealed on March 20, 2024. Where are the region's schools in this ranking?

Our colleagues from Parisien and National Education publish the ranking of the best high schools in France for the year 2024. Discover where the establishments of Occitanie are located.

Three main criteria

From "results indicators", National Education ranks more than 2 300 establishments each year. Three main criteria make it possible to rate these high schools: their baccalaureate success rate the previous year, their rate of mentions the same year and their "added value& ;quot; for these two indicators.

By "added value", the ministry hears "the difference between the results obtained and the results that were hoped for. These expected results are based on the academic and socio-professional characteristics of the students in each establishment.

Is your high school a good student??

In Montpellier, it is the Notre-Dame de la Merci high school which is positioned the highest (119/2330) with 100% success in the Bac in 2023. It is followed by another private high school, Nevers (248/2330) before the arrival of the first public establishment: Georges Frêche (921/2330). Then come Joffre (984/2330), Frédéric Bazille (1065/2330) and the school city Françoise Combes (1345/2330).

More widely in Hérault, the ranking is dominated by the private Saint-Guilhem high school in Clermont-l’Hérault (54/2330) and La Trinité in Béziers, private also (231/2330). Followed by the private high school La Merci, in La Grande-Motte (280/2330) and the high school Saint-Joseph (322/2330), also private, in Sète.

In the Gard, the private Notre-Dame-de-Bellegarde high school rises to the top of the list (105/2330), followed by the private establishment Alésien La Salle (481/2330) and the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul private high school in Nîmes (632/2330).

The private high school François d’Estaing (237/2330) comes first in Aveyron, in Rodez, followed by the public high school La Découverte in Decazeville (302/2330) and the’ rsquo;private establishment Louis Querbes (560/2330), in Rodez again.

The Théophile Roussel public high school comes at the top of the ranking in Lozère (216/2330), in Saint-Chely-d’Apcher. In the same city, the private Sacre-Coeur establishment follows closely (240/2330) before the private Notre-Dame high school, in Mende (254/2330).

In Aude, it is in Carcassonne that the private Saint-Louis high school takes the highest place (688/2330), before the public establishment Germaine Tillion in Castelnaudary (1047/2330). In the Pyrénées-Orientales, the Saint-Louis de Gonzague private high school comes first (36/2330).

As for the public, it is the Christian Bourquin in Argelès-sur-Mer who ranks best (1417/2330).
