While a bill must soon be examined in the National Assembly, deputies took part in the "game" of a painful period simulator.

A break of up to 13 days per year and without deficiency. This is the bill from environmentalist deputies who are pleading for menstrual leave to allow women whose periods are painful to stop working.

The proposal must be presented on April 4 to the National Assembly, indicates France Info. A bill which, however, has little chance of succeeding since it is not the first time that a text to this effect has been submitted to parliamentarians.

The previous proposal, on the initiative of Hélène Conway-Mouret, socialist senator of French people established outside France, had not found consensus, reported in February Public Senate.

"Stabbing in the stomach"

While waiting for the new attempt, this time at the initiative of environmentalist deputies, the deputy for Dordogne Sébastien Peytavie and the Lyon deputy Marie-Charlotte Garin put the spotlight on his text by submitting consenting deputies to a simulator that artificially recreates menstrual pain.

The observation is unanimous: screams and moans, the guinea pigs agree in finding the experience "horrible". "It actually hurts really bad" summarizes MP Maxime Minot (LR), who compares the pain to "little blows of dagger in the stomach.

The aim of the operation, in addition to the large-scale dissemination of the experience via social networks, is to show to what extent menstrual pain can be incapacitating for women who suffer from chronic pain linked, for example, to pathologies such as endometriosis.
