Le magasin montpelliérain Hello Trott possède sa propre marque de trottinettes électriques, MiniWakler, et propose une catégorie amateur au prochain Championnat de France de la discipline.

Founded in April 2023 by Jean-Pierre Benaim, the brand comes from the Hello Trott store, also specialized in the sector, and located in the Clémenceau Rondelet district. After a career as a consultant in the medical economy, the founder gave up everything to devote himself to his passion, and opened his store first.

"After feeling that I needed to do something else, I left everything! It was the beginning of scooters, so I started tinkering with my scooter. I went to the city's stores to offer them my adaptations and I then started to sell them pieces, remembers Jean-Pierre Benaim , who founded the store in November 2022, after taking advantage of Covid to create a website. Our focus has always been on-site sales, spare parts and repair. We think about the customer before our bank account, by charging fair prices!"

A few months after the opening of Hello Trott, Benaim launched its own brand of scooters, called MiniWalker, in association with a Chinese factory. "I have always wanted to work with China for production, and influence it from France, in particular to take into account new safety standards. Being able to be more than a simple distributor, keeping control of production. For example, on high-end models, we manufacture the batteries in Lyon, which allows local resources to work."

The brand, which its founder describes as "mid range, but very well equipped", is intended primarily for everyone, by offering rare equipment on models from the beginning. "Our goal is to offer quality scooters, with non-essential equipment such as additional headlights, reinforced kickstand…" Everyday models, even if the brand advertises around racing, using the image of Kilian Larhrer, World Team Champion in 2022 of electric scooter on circuit in 2022, who lives in Montpellier -itself, and became the image of the brand.

Common models, sold from 1,200 to 2,000 € depending on the power, are nevertheless the only ones that the brand, which sells a few models per month, intends to sell. "We have a preparer in Lyon for our large racing models. We take the most powerful of our models for the race. However, we have no intention of selling any at this time. That's really not our goal."

A brand discovery category at the next French championship

The MiniWalker brand organizes à from this April 13 its own Cup, amateur category within the 5 stages of the French Championship E’trott Racing FFM (Fédération Françaisçaise of Micromobility). Located in particular in Le Murey (near Toulouse) on July 13 and Alès (Gard) and on September 7, this amateur category will allow you to participate in the competition. everyone to discover the electric scooter on the circuit in complete safety.
