Swiss coach Murat Yakin has decided to call on MHSC defender Becir Omeragic again, according to the list revealed this Thursday, March 14.

He was waiting and knew he was close. Montpellier HSC defender Becir Omeragic was recalled to the Swiss national team by coach Murat Yakin on Wednesday in the last list before the Euro in Germany (June 14-July 14). < /p>

The Nati must play two friendly matches during the next break, in Denmark on March 23, and in Ireland on March 26.

Becir Omeragic (22 years old) will therefore be part of this double trip, like TFC midfielder Vincent Sierro, Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo, OM full-back Ulysses Garcia or midfielder Monaco Denis Zakaria.

No longer appearing in A since June 2021

This summons already looks like a first victory for the defender. Executive of the Swiss Espoirs, the ex-FC Zurich player has not been selected with the Nati A since June 3, 2021. But he has made the next Euro a real objective.

"I’have already had a few calls with the technical director of the Swiss selection. I know that I am close to the A selection, he said recently during an MHSC press conference. "One of my main objectives is to Euro 2024, next summer, and I will do everything to be there,” he added.

Present during Euro 2021, during which Switzerland eliminated the French team in the round of 16 (3-3, tab 5-4), Omeragic has got one foot back in the door.
