Montpellier Run Festival: where will the marathon, half-marathon and 10 km runners go this Sunday and at what times ?

La première édition de Montpellier Run Festival qui accueille cinq courses à pied se déroule sur deux jours avec en point d’orgue ce dimanche 7 avril le marathon.

Running fans are delighted: after the two 5km events and the Ekiden this Saturday, April 6, which were a success, this Sunday, April 7, it's time for the marathon, half-marathon and 10km events.

The marathon

The route which extends over 42,195km left the Jardin des Plantes a few minutes ago at 8am. The runners will pass through Antigone, Verchant, Grammont, the Hôtel de Ville, arriving at the Arc de Triomphe.

Here is the circuit in two loops of 21.1 km:

The arrival time of course depends on the runners, knowing that some can do it in a little over 2 hours, but they are champions. The first runners could therefore present themselves at the Arc de Triomphe around 10 a.m. or 10 a.m.  30.

The half marathon

Departure was also set for 8 a.m. at the Jardin des Plantes. The circuit is 21.1 km, half the distance of a marathon as its name suggests.

Champions can complete it in just over an hour. The average time is closer to two hours for experienced runners. So plan to arrive between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. for the best at the Arc de Triomphe.

The 10 km

The race route will take place in the city center: a start in the heart of the Écusson de Montpellier at the Promenade du Peyrou and an arrival under the Arc de Triomphe .
