More than 300 visitors to the open days of the Sainte-Marie private high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze

The Sainte-Marie private high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze presented its different sectors, some of which are little known. Professionals came to find work-study students.

Teachers at the Sainte-Marie high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze feared that the mobilization of farmers would put off families wanting to discover the courses offered in the establishment. But at the end of the morning, Saturday January 27, when the first morning of open days closed, more than 300 visitors had made the trip.

"We have very popular courses and this morning allows teenagers to pre-register", explains Fabienne Capitan, the deputy director of the establishment. A first step before the interview with the director which should follow in the coming weeks. "We are a family establishment. This is reassuring for families. We receive all the candidates in order to discover their motivation and their interpersonal skills. These are the two most important qualities in our eyes,” continues the director.

Sainte-Marie high school offers around fifteen different courses, from third grade to BTS. Part of it is taught in their city center establishment while the technical center is located on rue Léon-Fontaine. "Our goal is for each of our students to find their way. We offer courses that meet the needs of the region and which offer interesting opportunities."

"The logistics sector is poorly understood"

The open morning is precisely the opportunity to publicize certain routes sometimes left aside by adolescents. "The logistics sector is ultimately relatively poorly understood, continues Fabienne Capitan. While it is a sector that is hiring. We have companies that are ready to take on apprentices."

During this morning, in addition to high school teachers, professionals were invited. Some of them are already looking for work-study students for the next school year. "This’is also the advantage of small structures. We can carefully follow the journey of our students. We want to be able to welcome and respect the journey of all our students."

For latecomers, a second open morning will be organized on March 16. In the meantime, pre-registrations are also possible on the establishment’s website.
