Mots Parleurs: a festival to bring oral tradition to life in the Valley

Responsible for the public reading network of   the Hérault Valley. He is the architect of the, already, fourth edition of the Words Speakers festival, which begins this Friday for 21 performances until February 4. A cultural highlight, in the heart of winter which had been desired by Louis Villaret around orality and l' eloquence and which is supported by Jean-François Soto", recalls Vicent Chevallier.

Protein DNA

And if between stories, theater, concert, debate or even cooking workshop… the DNA of Mots Parleurs is resolutely protean, "the idea is also to get people talking or through debates or oral expression workshops" and to rediscover, a little, the spirit of oral tradition.

A festival of curiosities…

After the appetizer, this Friday at Sonambule, with Alexis HK, is among the curiosities of the 2024 edition, The risotto experience proposed by Luca Marchesini. An evening that unites storytelling with food. Cooking workshop, meal followed by storytelling… Something to nourish the mind and body (this Saturday in Vendémian).

Another must-see, the venue of the Jean-Noël Massol stage, from the Compagnie Avec son pull, will provide three performances on sensitive themes delicately discussed such as harassment or harassment. exile. On February 1, the public debate on the existential question "How to fail your life as a couple", also sets the tone for a beautiful evening of Philo Foraine hosted by Alain Guyard… a former teacher of philosophy.

Finally, "Débrayage", by the troupe of Théâtre Populaire de la Vallée de l'Hérault, brings to life a comedy in which everyday heroes are sacrificed on the altar of a society with merciless workings, (based on the play by Rémi de Vos).
