Nîmes Urban Trail: “Managing flows was our biggest challenge!”, Nut co-organizer Benoit Goiset looks back on the 2024 edition

À quelques heures à peine de la clôture de la course, l'heure est à un premier bilan, dans son ensemble ultra-satisfaisant pour la société organisatrice Yeswerun.

While the runners have all crossed the finish line, the prizes have been awarded and the stands have been packed up, Benoit Goiset, co-organizer of the Nut is enjoying. And also appears a little relieved: “This year, we had an increase in registrations of more than 30%, with almost 9,100 participants. The biggest challenge for us was therefore flow management,” he explains.

"Faced with this challenge, and that of the multiplicity of passages crossed by the different routes, we had to work for months' nbsp;with all of our partners to successfully coordinate everything. And it paid off! This 9th edition was the smoothest of the Nîmes Urban Trail."

Emotion in nursing homes

Although it is still a little early to draw up his personal list of the best moments of this edition, Benoit nevertheless retains those of the runners, many of whom say they enjoyed it, in addition to the discovery of magnificent places (high school , gardens, museum, hotel…), the strong emotion as you pass through the city's different nursing homes, "< em>dthese places where the staff and residents have clearly created the entertainment for the runners (music, disguises and supplies) with their hearts, analyzes Benoît.

"In 2025, the Nut will be extraordinary"

Regarding the anniversary edition, for the 10th anniversary of Nut next year, Benoit Goiset and his partner Cécile Cheron are already promising the extraordinary. With new places to discover in the city of Antonins of course, but not only that. "We know how to renew ourselves and the 10 years of Nut will be exceptional.
