Paris 2024 Olympics: Montpellier's David Aubry will also swim the 1,500m freestyle this summer in the capital

After winning the minimums in the 400 and 800 m, the Montpellier native obtained his qualification in the 1 and 500 m.

Like Anastasiia Kirpichnikova, his teammate from Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole (3MUC), David Aubry achieved the Grand Slam this week in Chartres during the French Championships.

Damien Joly also qualified

After having obtained his Olympic qualification in the 400 and 800 m freestyle, the one who trains in Italy added the 1 500 m to his program this summer. He will be accompanied on this distance by Damien Joly, also author of the minimums.

"We went looking for this qualification. I think it’s the most beautiful of these championships. I did what I could at the beginning and I saw that Damien was coming back so we started swimming together, that's what saved us, commented Aubry.
