Béziers, qui sort d'un échec, à domicile, face à Provence Rugby entend redresser la barre, ce vendredi (19 h), face à des Agenais en manque de points. Le combat s'annonce âpre.

Closed faces, determination in their eyes and keen application to the task: throughout the week, at training time, on the ASBH side, we worked hard. The Béziers players kept their failure conceded at home, against Provence Rugby (17-18), in their throats for a long time. A defeat that they want to forget, to make people forget.

So, in anticipation of the arrival of Agen, in Raoul-Barrière, this Friday, January 26 (7 p.m.), they put back the heating blue. They recited their oval scales with great seriousness and a lot of enthusiasm: "There was a little anger and frustration, but everything was put in place for the manage and finish this block well, ensures the second line Clément Bitz who finds the group after several weeks spent in the infirmary. On Sunday, we came back “with the banana”. In terms of our state of mind, nothing has changed. We must now continue to remain confident, to believe in our game plan. We produce rugby that allows us to move the ball. We have to stay on these solid foundations that work, on this desire to produce play, to be in the forefront, to have this link between front and three-quarters. We must preserve all this and perpetuate it."

"They want to fight it out quickly"

In the absence of Pierre Caillet, suspended from the bench, Benjamin Bagate, the club's sports director, will be on the sidelines. If he announces a very difficult and tough match, he firmly believes in the potential of his troops: "The players were disappointed to have lost in stoppage time against Provence Rugby,  underlines Benjamin Bagate. But they are not marked by this defeat. They want to fight it out quickly. Agen will certainly come to wage war on us, saying that we are in doubt. And we're not there! We'll just put things back in order and start moving forward."

It will also be important to adapt strategically, to be able to alternate between all forms of play. Which was one of Béziers' strengths before its failure facing the Provençals.

At 7 p.m., at the Raoul-Barrière stadium:

BEZIERS: Lorre- Storti, Espeut, Tupuola, Reau- (o) Malié- (m) Marques- Ancely, Koen, Van Bost- Madigan, Bitz- Arroyo, Lalevée, Amrouni. Substitutes: Fernandes, Akhaladze, Nkinsi, Benoy, Short, Glynn, Hoarau, Zabala.
