PSG - Fleury, the poster for the final of the Women's French Cup is being played at the Mosson stadium

The Mosson stadium is hosting the Women's French Cup hosted by the FFF this Saturday, May 4 (3 p.m.) for an unprecedented final between PSG and Fleury. Also a first for refereeing with the use of video assistance but also the sound system in the event of intervention by the Var.

Five years after “l’élan” of the 2019 World Cup, the La Mosson stadium is returning to women's football. Where the MHSC had already enjoyed the honors of its lawn for D1 posters against PSG or Lyon (in 2012 and 2013) and in the Champions League for the debut of Sakina Karchaoui, back this Saturday in the PSG jersey. "It's always nice to come back home, underlines the international who has just extended for four years in Paris. I stayed in Montpellier for twelve years (2009-2020), I built myself here as a player and as a woman, it's really an honor to return to this field. The first time I played there, it was my first Champion’s League match, it’s a beautiful memory. I hope it will be the same on Saturday."

Sakina Karchaoui returns to La Mosson

PSG will leave with the favor of the forecasts, even if it comes out of a painful end in the semi-finals of the Champions League against Lyon. "We have the desire to put in a great performance, the desire to react after our elimination, assures coach Jocelyn Prêcheur. We know that we have a quality opponent against whom it is never easy to play, but I feel a very strong determination within the group to bounce back and get the trophy. Fleury is an eye-catching team, it's a final, a derby, everything comes together for a big battle."
A first, a discovery for Fleury who, however, has not changed anything in the state of mind, as Léa Le explains Garrec. There is a lot of fun, smiles, relaxation…"
"We know that PSG has a lot of assets, talents ; we know our strengths. We will try to exploit what is exploitable, warns Fleury coach, Fabrice Abriel. To repeat a reference match that we were able to play this season, and to be as simple as possible. You have to arrive in a light manner and trust yourself on the ground… It often comes down to details, it's up to us to tilt them in our favor."

Double premiere: VAR and sound system

Two other new features will mark this final with the use of video assistance and sound, "only in the event of intervention and VAR correction",explains Stéphanie Frappart. The intervention is only valid for the verification of a goal, a penalty, a direct red card, a mistaken identity if a warning is incorrect player.
The stadium infrastructure, human and financial resources do not allow this system to be generalized in D1 Arkema but it will be reproduced in the play-off. "This ensures that the fairness of the match is guaranteed and then the sound system will bring transparency and education."  The referees have also been trained in this in recent months, like Émeline Rochebilière who will officiate this Saturday.
