RC Rougier qualifies and secures its place for the final of the Occitanie challenge

The Camarésiens logically won against US Adéenne (29-12) this Sunday, April 21.  

RC Rougier qualified this Sunday for the final of the Occitanie challenge by winning 29 to 12 against the Adée team. The Camaresians were feverish at the start, committing numerous mistakes. Their opponents logically opened the scoring with a penalty from Lascorz.

On one of their highlights, the southern Aveyronnais have  took the advantage a few minutes later thanks to two penalties from Cambon. More solid up front, they imposed their game without succeeding in deceiving the opposing defense. However, it was the Bigourdans who came back to score with a new penalty (6-6). The Camaresians were more enterprising and efficient in defense but conceded a new penalty (6-9).

A trickster try in the first half

The game was to their advantage but some waste in attack  did not allow them to score. The situation was resolved at the end of the first half thanks to a trickster try from To Bernat who quickly played a hand penalty. G Cambon's transformation just before half-time brought the first break (16-9).

As one might expect, the Adéens tried to get the game going from the restart and by occupying the opposing camp. The southern Aveyron defense reduced their attempts to nothing. On the contrary, it was the Rougier players who worsened the score with a new penalty (19-9). The bigourdans scored three additional points (19-12) A new try from Bernat and a penalty from Cambon have  definitively sealed the fate of the match (29-12).
