Registrations are open for “Anglo-American” international section classes in Béziers

Au collège Katia et Maurice Kafft et à l'école Samuel Paty, établissements de la Devèze, à Béziers, des classes de perfectionnement en anglais sont proposées. Les inscriptions sont ouvertes pour les élèves biterrois.

It is the most spoken language in the world, knowing how to speak English is now a big plus during a job interview and sometimes even a prerequisite. Moreover, international section classes are growing more and more. This is also the case in Béziers, precisely in Devèze, where the Samuel Paty school and the Katia and Maurice Krafft college have opened.

"We bring English to certain disciplines such as mathematics or sport, explains National Education Inspector Michaël Dutreuil. There are times specially dedicated to English." These international section classes allow you to strengthen your practice of English and discover the culture of English-speaking countries. To provide specific lessons, teachers are recruited by the school. They themselves can rely on digital resources as well as several interventions from an English-speaking assistant who will play the role of linguistic and cultural ambassador of their country of origin ( after New Zealand last year, it's the United States this year).

Until CM2 at the start of the 2025 school year

Open at CP level at the start of the 2022 school year, the section continues every year. Application files are available on the Montpellier Academy website and must be sent to the school by March 12. An information meeting will take place on Thursday, January 25 at 5 p.m.

This path can be continued in middle school since international section classes are also open in the establishment Katia and Maurice Krafft from sixth grade. In addition to their English teaching, students benefit from literature and history-geography lessons in English. An information meeting will be held on Thursday, February 1 at 5:15 p.m.
