Sérignan: artisan baker Valentin Garcia wins first fight

Valentin Garcia doit maintenant décrocher son permis de construire. Midi Libre – Mélissa Alcoléa

Artisan baker Valentin Garcia, who intends to set up in the Zac de Bellegarde, had to face an appeal filed by the manager of the Carrefour brand, with the Departmental Commission for Commercial Development. In Paris, the national body of the Commission gave him the green light.

Artisan baker from Sérignan, Valentin Garcia has found his smile again. He has just received a favorable opinion from the National Commission for Commercial Development (CNAC) for his planned project on the Zac Sérignanaise in Bellegarde: the construction of a 450 m2 laboratory (where he plans to make pastries, cakes and even delicatessen dishes), a 300 m2 producers' store and a 150 m2 restaurant-snack bar.

All that remains is to obtain the building permit

Until now, he was facing an appeal filed with the Departmental Commission commercial development commission (CDAC) by Jean-Claude Dejean, from the company Dejan Holding, manager of the Carrefour de Sérignan, located near the place where he wants to launch his project… Valentin Garcia therefore went to defend his rights in Paris with the national authority of the national development commission, where he finally won his case. Now the craftsman has to obtain the building permit. Which is not a given if the manager of Carrefour steps up again.
