This back-to-school week, the storks are back in the skies of the Gard. Several dozen of them were spotted in Marguerittes but also in the Costières plain, a stage of the great migration that announces the end of summer.

Places where these birds find food and a setting conducive to rest before heading to sub-Saharan Africa to travel thousands of kilometers. The storks had been seen for the first time this year in the department, near La Gardonnenque, Uzège, in the Barjac sector further north, last February and March.
